Deadliest Catch The social Game is to make the most money selling your crab catch. Sound easy? It isn’t. That is why it’s called the Deadliest Catch. Here is what you have to do.
Ship: Your ship and crew determine how much crab you can catch each time you have Dutch Harbor. You start out with Alaskan Crabber, a small ship with a small crew. You’ll be able to upgrade to a larger ship after a few crab seasons.
Sister Ship: Choose who will help on your voyage. Select from edger. Jonathan, Keith or Sig. Each will give you hints and a warning during gameplay. If you want to change your selection. go to the deck of your ship and click on Player Information under your ship’s name.
Hire Crew: You start with one deckhand plus your captain, Each crew member has different attributes in terms of increasing energy, sorting crab, negotiating better crab prices, etc. Choose your crew carefully. You can change crew each time you return to Dutch Harbor.
Drop Pots: Once you’ve left Dutch Harbor, you need to decide where to drop your pots. Not every location has the same amount of crab. Some locations have lots of crab and some have every little crab.
Pull Pots: You’ve waited for your pots to soak, anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours. Now, let’s pull those pots. You can expect to catch anywhere from 1 crab to over 700 crabs per pot depending upon your bait, where you dropped your pots and how you soaked your pots. As you progress in the game, you can select larger pots that will enable you to catch more crabs or every pot you drop.
Sort catch: you have two ways to sort your catch:
Auto sort: The game sorts for you. It is random as to what you’ll end up with in terms of waste (fish, debris, and crabs that accidentally get thrown away, etc)
Sill Sort: You manually sort crab. Your skill determines how much crab is saved and what goes to waste.
Sell your crab: Here is where we find the real Captains when you return to Detch Harbor you’ll deliver your catch. Click on Dutch Harbor in the lower right hand corner to return to port. Now you will find how much profit you made during your crabbing voyage.
