Speaking of setting up a city, the rule of thumb in the social gaming world is to build as many cozy households, gleeful entertaining facilities and productive factory lines as possible. When all these have been done, the rest is to sit down and watch population thronging back and forth in all contentment. Not the case, however, with this particular “Five Minutes”. The Chinese developer deems it way too insipid to simply play block building and thus decides to make some waves, such as triggering off a Little War, in your town.
It starts out great, like breathing a puff of new life into the otherwise deadly boring city rut. All citizens are fully motivated into preparation for the coming war. Everywhere you can see factory workers scurrying in and out, busy producing food and weapon supplies; soldiers goose walking in the central square in brisk morale, sharpening fighting skills during this countdown stage; and builders shuttling to and fro from the forest, chopping more woods to set up the most solid fortress against enemies.
Facebook game Little War (or 小小战争) Offers you childlike graphics, and city-building gameplay. The English version was just released but with many glitches out there such as daily bonuses and translations.
The advent danger seems to draw the locals much closer in social relationship. Everybody shows up more agreeable and cooperative than before. Greetings are heard a lot more often on the streets. Chatting is on whenever there is a break time. Social events like fighting competitions are rife with people craning their necks to sign up. The whole nation suddenly gets banded together and the entire town becomes way more vibrant all because of the Little War.
However, the atmosphere is getting tighter and tighter with the possibly devastating war approaching. Fiends and demons are of course always a part of havoc. Thugs and scoundrels also wouldn’t miss a party like this. Even neighboring tribes eye greedily on your rich city, ready all time for their shares of the cake.
To keep enemies off your land, a strong military backup is just a small part of the deal. Sturdy warriors may be invincible in confrontations, but can’t secure much winning odds if the rivals turn to foul play. Wise tactics thus become a matter of course to clinch the deal. You even have to master certain magical spells in case the foes summons dark witches for help in order to win this Little War.
