Recently, Playfish launched the new social game Monopoly Millionaires, which is based on the board game Monopoly!
Last year, Electronic Arts took over the social Games developer Playfish and put a lot of social games in its potfolio. The new social game Monopoly Millionaires has already attracted 500,000 monthly active users.
Monopoly Millionaires places you on a virtual board game Monopoly to build as many houses and hotels as possible. The more friends you have and the more often you visit them, the higher your chances win the game.
Below are some reviews from Facebook Users:
Game starts ok, but after a while of playing it gets very boring indeed. All hotels built to the max, all houses built to the max (pretty much as the only ones that are not are the ones needing gold and as none of my friends boards ever seem to have gold on them, there is no point playing any more). Good concept, but needs a hell of a lot more thought about what to do when you get to a higher level.
Games works well, particularly for a facebook game. I was very excited to see game come to life and EA/Playfish developers did well. But only runs on my Windows XP machine (not in Windows Vista or 7); game moves are excruciatingly slow, special bonuses like property card sets or gold don’t collect when landed on (particularly not if chance or community chance square) and I’m not seeing the point of the game — actually I would think that as houses/hotels/traps get upgraded or placed that those boards would not get visited. So I have dumped.
One of those games that doesn’t make any sense. Game developers are just sitting there waiting for you to get more neighbours for them otherwise you can’t upgrade any hotels. Other than that, this game also teaches me how to trap friends and neighbors instead of rewarding them. A great way to reward friends and neighbors who help you! Come visit my board I’ll guarantee you a few traps at least. Yeah right!
One thing I don’t really understand (and perhaps this isn’t the place to ask) but why in the world would I want to set up traps on my board? From what I can tell, all that would do is cause my friends to have to pay me extra money, which means they will probably avoid my board altogether and play someone else’s who doesn’t have traps…?
Suggestions: More interaction with friends… add a ‘trade property’ option; leaving a message on their board, gifting decorations…. other things include unlocking alternate game boards, or adding a bit of Monopoly Deal! items such as stealing/swapping property cards…… you can add a mini game on our own board for some daily bonus…es….
Update: Try to add some incentive for lower level players to visit higher level player boards…they might avoid them altogether because of the hotels and expensive rentals…. perhaps higher cash bonuses in higher level boards?
Really, really tired of the stupid brown house mission showing up over and over and over.
Monopoly Millionaires was developed by EA in association with Hasbro!
This game is horrible, the header of the game must be “How to ruin a good game”. Lets see:
1- The game is repetitive and boring 5 min. after start.
2- There’s no point in visit the high lvl friends board. Free parking? for what 1000? …, you can earn this money very easy from your homes, or visiting the low lvl boards.
3- Gold, seriously dude, pay for a game, only happens when the game its good.
4- Gold, everything, EVERYTHING, what are based in gold, demand 10 or more.
5- The chance of get gold its very very low, only ONE if your are lucky in friends board.
6- Traps only cost gold.
7- Almost all the decoration stuff cost gold.
8- Missions , almost, 1 of 3, than require you spend gold.
9- The chance of wining the friends price is 0.025% / round or less.
10- Cards, the randomless its more than evident, even when you have the dog, always appear the same card, over and over again, you can have 8 cards of the same street but ony one from the hard one.
11- Theres no point in send gift, prius house, its worst than normal green, prius car, its useless, i don’t know how your lied to the company to invest in this cr*p. They must demand yours.
12- Cards, again, what is the point in colect them, when you have the number you need for upgrade the home, the home become useless due the lvl.
13- XP, one roll dice, its one XP, ok… thas fine, but takes sooo much time to reload the max, that means, rise lvl become really become boring.
17- Trade with friends its the key of classic monopoly, but in this game is non-viable due point 10.
I have a much more complaints of this game, but with this its enough for explain why i vote whit only one star. I don’t know how the other people vote with 5… have nonsense…
Conclusions:
-I don’t recommend this game to nobody, even i talk bad of this game.
-This game is soooo greedy.
-For pay in a game, they must be a good game.
-Your ruined the name of EA and Monopoly with this. When someone see these names expect much more.
-Stop hiring brain damaged people for make this horrible games.
