If you installed v1.2, then a new file called 3DItemsConfig.cfg will be generated in your .minecraft/config folder. To disable rendering the items in 3D, open the file and change renderItems3D=true to renderItems3D=false.

3D Items 1.3.2 Mod Installations for Minecraft 1.3.2

1. Download and install ModLoader or Minecraft Forge
